Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LensReport mobile application (the "App"), operated by LensReport ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. We recommend that you also review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use your information.

1. Description of Service

LensReport is a mobile application for iOS and Android that lets you scan paper documents (receipts, invoices, and other records) with your device camera or import existing images and PDFs. The App uses cloud-based artificial intelligence to extract structured data from your scanned documents and builds reports from templates that you can edit, share, and export as PDF, Excel (with live Smart Columns / formulas), or CSV files.

Paid plans unlock higher scan limits, team collaboration, share links, customized templates, business branding on exports, and other features listed in Section 4.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use LensReport. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18), you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration and Authentication

LensReport offers anonymous authentication by default, allowing you to use the App without providing any personal information. You may optionally upgrade your account to a real identity using:

• Email and password
• Sign in with Google
• Sign in with Apple

Upgrading is required to export reports, subscribe to a paid plan, collaborate with team members, or restore data across devices. Your data carries over from the anonymous session when you sign in.

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

4.1 Plans

LensReport offers the following subscription tiers:

Pricing. Subscription prices are set per region by Apple and Google and are shown inside the App before you confirm a purchase, in your local currency and inclusive of any applicable tax. Because each store sets its own regional pricing, prices vary by country and may differ between iOS and Android. The price you see in the App at the moment of purchase is the authoritative amount; these Terms do not quote a specific figure. Annual billing is available at a discounted rate for all paid plans; the exact discount is shown in-App. Apple and Google may adjust prices from time to time according to their own regional policies and will notify you before any price change takes effect on renewal.

4.2 Scan top-up packs

If you run out of scans before your next billing period, you can purchase a one-time scan top-up pack as an in-app purchase. Top-up packs are consumed from your account’s top-up balance after your monthly quota is used up, and any remaining balance carries over until fully used. Top-up packs are non-refundable except where required by law or the policies of the store you purchased through.

4.3 Free trial

Paid plans may include a limited free trial offered through the App Store or Google Play at our discretion. If a trial is offered and you accept it, the full feature set of the selected plan is available during the trial at no charge. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate unless you cancel before the trial period ends. You will not be charged during the trial; if you cancel before the trial expires, you will not be billed and your access will revert to the Free plan.

4.4 Billing and auto-renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis at the start of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on your selection). Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Payments are processed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Billing is managed by the respective platform, and their terms apply to payment processing, refunds, and billing disputes. We never see your card details — billing happens entirely inside the App Store or Google Play.

4.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. To manage or cancel your subscription:

• iOS: open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → select LensReport → Cancel Subscription.
• Android: open the Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select LensReport → Cancel subscription.

Upon cancellation:

• You will retain access to your paid plan features until the end of the current billing period.
• No further charges will be applied after the current billing period ends.
• Your account will revert to the Free plan at the end of the billing period.
• Your existing reports and data will remain accessible, subject to Free plan limitations. Reports will not be deleted; you will simply be unable to add new entries beyond the Free plan’s 5-entry lifetime limit.

We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods. For refund requests, please contact Apple or Google through their respective support channels, as they handle all billing on our behalf.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use LensReport only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App to scan, process, or store illegal materials or documents, including but not limited to counterfeit currency, forged documents, child sexual abuse material, or documents related to illegal activities.
• Use the App to collect, extract, or otherwise process personal data of third parties in ways that would violate applicable data protection or privacy laws.
• Abuse, disrupt, or interfere with the App’s services, servers, or infrastructure, including any attempt to overload, flood, crash, or exhaust our AI extraction quota through automated means.
• Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or any other automated means to access or interact with the App, unless expressly authorized in writing by us.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App or any part of it, except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this limitation.
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any security, rate-limiting, quota, PIN-protection, or access-control features of the App.
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized users or allow others to access your account in a way that circumvents your plan’s scan quota or collaborator limit.
• Use the App to harass, spam, or send unsolicited team invitations to people who have not consented to receive them.
• Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute access to the App or its output without our prior written consent.
• Use the App in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or court order, or in any way that infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these acceptable use provisions, with or without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all documents, images, extracted data, and reports that you scan, import, edit, or create using the App ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership rights over Your Content.

By using the App, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you — that is, AI extraction, report generation, export, collaboration, and share links you create. This license terminates when you delete Your Content or your account, subject only to the limited retention described in our Privacy Policy.

6.2 Our Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, templates, branding, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by LensReport and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding except as necessary to use the App in its intended manner.

7. AI Processing and Accuracy

LensReport uses artificial intelligence to extract data from scanned documents. While we strive for high accuracy, AI extraction is not guaranteed to be error-free. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Extracted data must be reviewed for accuracy before you rely on it for any financial, legal, tax, accounting, or other critical purpose.
• We are not responsible for errors or omissions in AI-extracted data, including incorrect amounts, dates, vendor names, line items, totals, tax calculations, or any other fields.
• You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all exported reports before relying on them, submitting them to a third party, or using them in any regulated process.
• LensReport is a productivity tool, not a substitute for professional tax, accounting, or legal advice.

8. Team Collaboration and Share Links

8.1 Collaboration

On plans that include team collaboration (Family / Team and Enterprise), you may invite other people as contributors to specific reports. Contributors use their own accounts but their scans count against the inviting owner’s shared scan quota pool. You are responsible for:

• Ensuring that you have the right to share report content with anyone you invite.
• Only sending invitations to people who have consented to be invited.
• Managing your team: owners can remove any contributor at any time, and a 30-day cooldown applies before a removed contributor can rejoin the same team.

8.2 Share links

On paid plans, you can generate a public share link that lets anyone with the URL view a read-only snapshot of one of your reports at share.lensreport.app. Share links can be PIN-protected and expire at a time you choose (1 hour to 1 year). You are responsible for:

• Who you give the link and PIN to.
• Revoking any link that is no longer needed. You can revoke any link from Settings → Manage Shared Reports.
• Understanding that a public share link is exactly that — public — and that anything the recipient sees on the linked page can be downloaded, screenshot, or forwarded by them. Do not create share links for reports you would not be comfortable handing to an unknown third party.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is a two-step confirmation flow and requires fresh re-authentication within the last 5 minutes (you will be asked to sign in again if your session is older than that). This protects your account from being destroyed by a stolen session.

Upon account deletion:

• Your reports, entries, scanned images, and business profile assets are permanently removed from our servers.
• Your authentication credentials and personal profile information are permanently removed from Firebase Authentication.
• Any active subscription will continue until the end of the current billing period; you must cancel your subscription separately through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Your active share links are revoked and their snapshots deleted.
• Your team invitations are deleted.
• The server-side account-level audit log described in our Privacy Policy is retained even after deletion, for data integrity and fraud-prevention purposes. It contains only action type, timestamp, and anonymized identifier — no document content.

10. Export Your Data (GDPR Article 20)

You can export your data in two ways:

• Per-report export — in any report, tap the upload icon to generate a PDF, Excel, or CSV file. Excel exports preserve live formulas in calculated columns.
• Full-account export — from Settings → Export my data, you can request a signed download URL (valid for 7 days) to a JSON bundle containing all your reports, entries, quota history, team memberships, invitations, and share tokens, together with short-lived signed URLs for each scanned image. You can request a new export at any time.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY DATA EXTRACTED BY THE AI SERVICE.

YOU USE THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED FROM US SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so the above exclusions may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under the consumer protection law of your country.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LENSREPORT, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

• Your use of or inability to use the App;
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-extracted data;
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data;
• The content of any public share link you create or of any shared report accessed by a third party;
• Any third-party conduct on or related to the App; or
• Any other matter relating to the App.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD $50.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LensReport and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of a third party; or (d) Your Content, including anything you share via team collaboration or public share links.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will immediately cease.
• We may delete your account and associated data, except for audit logs as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to Sections 6, 11, 12, 13, and 16.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will provide you with at least 30 days prior notice by posting the updated Terms within the App, sending an email to your registered email address (if available), or by other appropriate means. The "Last Updated" and "Version" fields at the top of this page reflect the date and version of the current Terms.

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the App and may delete your account as described in Section 9.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Fiji, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Fiji. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objections based on venue or inconvenient forum. Nothing in this Section overrides any mandatory consumer-protection right you have under the law of your country of residence.

17. Apple App Store and Google Play Additional Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that these Terms are between you and LensReport only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property claims. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

If you download the App from Google Play, you acknowledge that Google is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the App. Google’s Terms of Service and Google Play policies govern the payment, refund, and distribution relationship between you and Google.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LensReport regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings, whether written or oral.

20. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any term shall only be effective if made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of LensReport.
